Disagreement about price is normal, and it is usually solvable, because the market has an opinion and neither of you has to be the one who was wrong.
The deadlock is nearly always the same shape. One of you wants out and would take the first reasonable offer. The other wants the number they had in their head before any of this started, and being told it is too high feels like being asked to absorb a loss on top of everything else. Neither position is unreasonable. Neither one is a pricing strategy.
So we take the argument off the two of you and hand it to the evidence. You get an opinion of value in writing, built from what has actually sold near you in Milton in recent months, not from what is currently listed and not from an online estimate. Then we put the realistic band in front of both of you with what each end of it is likely to cost in days on market and in how many buyers come through the door. Price is a trade between speed and result. Once that trade is visible on paper, it stops being a contest between two people and becomes a choice between two outcomes.
Both of you see the same document at the same time. Neither of you is briefed separately or persuaded privately. Facts about the house and the sale go to both parties, every time, at the same time, and that is what makes the number credible to whichever of you it disappoints.
Spending decisions run the same way. When one of you wants to paint and carpet and the other will not put another dollar into a house they are leaving, we do not adjudicate it. We tell you what each item is likely to return, what doing it and skipping it each cost in time on market, and which items are not worth doing at all. Staging is in-house here, led by Tara Llewellyn, voted Milton’s #1 stager since 2017, so it does not arrive as a separate invoice the two of you have to agree to fund. Who pays for anything beyond that is a separate question with its own page, and it is settled in writing before anyone spends.
If it still does not resolve, the format changes and the rule does not. Joint meetings when they work, separate meetings when they stop working. The same facts still reach both of you on the same day.
What we will not do is take a side or carry an argument between you. We represent the sale, not one spouse against the other.
The Flowers Team has handled 50 divorce-related transactions since January 2024, and in 2026, 1 in every 7 Flowers Team transactions involves a separating household (Source: Flowers Team internal records, January 2024 to September 2026). A price disagreement between two separating sellers is not an unusual file here. It is most of them.
