Will you repeat what I tell you to my spouse?

Facts about the house and the sale, yes, and at the same time as you get them. Personal commentary and feelings, no. Those stop with us. Nobody uses us as a pawn in a separation. People try, and it does not work that way.
Will you repeat what I tell you to my spouse?

Facts, yes. Feelings, no. Both of you hear that rule from us on the first day rather than discovering it partway through the sale.

Here is what falls on each side. Anything about the house and the sale is a fact: the opinion of value, the pricing conversation, showing feedback, what a buyer said, what an offer contains, what the market is doing to your timeline. All of it goes to both of you, every time, at the same time. Neither of you ever finds out something about your own house second.

Personal commentary and feelings shared with us stop with us. What you think of your spouse, what happened last week, why the marriage ended, what you are afraid of: none of it is carried back and forth. It is not repeated in a meeting, it does not appear in an email to both of you, and it does not become leverage in a conversation about the house.

The rule is said out loud rather than assumed because people test it. Nobody uses us as a pawn. People try, and it does not work that way. Someone will tell us something hoping it gets passed along, or ask us what the other person said. The answer is the same both times, and it does not change because one of you asks more insistently than the other.

This is also how one team acts for both of you without either of you feeling outnumbered. We represent the sale, not one spouse against the other. There is nothing to represent one of you against, because the house sells once, at the best price the market will pay, and the proceeds are divided by your agreement rather than by us.

The format bends and the rule does not. Joint meetings when they work, separate meetings when they stop working. Plenty of couples start joint and move to separate conversations as the separation goes on, which is normal rather than a setback. Whichever way the meetings run, the same facts reach both of you on the same day.

If you would each rather have your own point of contact on our team, that is available, and the rule holds inside it. What you tell your own agent in confidence still stops there and is never carried across.

The Flowers Team has handled 50 divorce-related transactions since January 2024, and in 2026, 1 in every 7 Flowers Team transactions involves a separating household (Source: Flowers Team internal records, January 2024 to September 2026). A rule that has held across that many files is a habit rather than a policy.
