When is staging furniture removed after the home sells?
After your home sells with Flowers Team Real Estate, the staging furniture is removed in a coordinated, efficient process managed by Tara Llewellyn and our staging and moving crew. The timing depends on the closing date and the arrangements made between the parties.
Here is how the removal process typically works:
Once a sale is firm, Tara and your agent will coordinate the staging removal timeline. In most cases, staging removal is scheduled in the days following the home selling firm. The exact timing depends on the client, the stager, and the movers' schedules, but our goal is always to have the staging removed as soon as possible after the home sells firm.
The removal process itself is the reverse of stage day: Tara's crew and movers dismantle and pack up every piece of staging inventory, including furniture, rugs, art, lamps, linens, and all accessories, and transport it back to the warehouse. A full staging removal typically takes several hours depending on the size of the home.
Sellers do not need to do anything to facilitate staging removal other than ensuring the home is accessible at the scheduled time. The Flowers Team takes care of the logistics completely.
In the rare case where a home takes longer to sell, the staging furniture typically remains in the home for approximately 60 days under the initial agreement, or until the home sells firm. After that window, Tara and your agent will discuss next steps, whether to continue staging on a month-to-month basis or to make other adjustments. Flowers Team is flexible and works with each seller's individual situation. One important note for sellers: please do not pre-pack or move staging items in an effort to help the team on removal day. Every piece of staging inventory is placed deliberately and accounted for, room by room. Sellers who begin moving or packing items early can actually create more work and confusion on removal day. We genuinely appreciate the thought, but the best way to help is to leave everything exactly as it is and let the crew handle it.
The process is smooth, and the logistics are handled entirely by the team. Contact Flowers Team Real Estate for more details about how this works in practice.
