Not sure what "resort elegant" or "business casual" means in practice? Here's a visual guide — real examples for both women and men, for every dress code on this trip.

Resort Elegant
Elevated but relaxed. Think cocktail-adjacent with warmth — a step above resort casual, but not black-tie. Beautiful fabrics, polished silhouettes, heels or dressy flats, statement accessories.

What to Expect from the Weather
Late September in Greece is warm and sunny, but there's important nuance between Athens and Mykonos — especially once you're on the island.
Athens · Sept 24
22–27°C
Warm during the day. Noticeably cooler once the sun sets — especially on an open rooftop.
Athens Tour · Sept 25
~29°C
Expect full sun at the Acropolis. Minimal shade at certain sites. SPF and a hat are essential.
Mykonos · Sept 25–28
24–28°C
Sunny and beautiful — but Mykonos is consistently windy. Cliff-side locations like our hotel amplify this.
Day One
Thursday, September 24th
Arrivals throughout the day in Athens. Tonight we kick things off in style on one of the best rooftops in the city.
Attire Guide
โ Recommended
- Resort elegant — think cocktail-adjacent but with warmth
- Layer up: it cools down significantly after dark on the rooftop
- Any footwear — the space is modern and flat
- Something that looks great under moody lighting — the venue is beautifully dark
- A light jacket or wrap for outdoors
โ Not Recommended
- Ultra-casual beachwear
- Anything you'd regret if it got chilly and you had nowhere to put it
Day Two
Friday, September 25th
A full day — ancient Athens in the morning, a flight to Mykonos in the afternoon, and a poolside party to close it out. Pack smart for two very different parts of the day.
Morning: The Acropolis Tour
โ Recommended
- Running shoes — non-negotiable for safety
- Comfortable, breathable clothing — it will be ~29°C
- Wide-brim hat or cap — minimal shade at some sites
- Sunscreen (apply before you leave)
- Light jacket in your day bag for the flight
- Your day bag can stay on the bus during the tour
โ Not Recommended
- Flip flops — marble steps & gravel are genuinely slippery
- Heels or wedges of any kind
- Anything you'd be sad to sweat in
Evening: Poolside Dinner at the Myconian Imperial
โ Recommended
- Resort casual — linen, sundresses, light fabrics
- Flip flops are perfectly fine for the pool setting
- Think: relaxed but pulled-together beach elegance
- A layer for later — the cliff location makes it windier in the evening
- Dancing shoes welcome — there's a DJ
โ Not Recommended
- Full business or formal attire
- Heavy fabrics — it will still be warm at 7 PM
Day Three
Saturday, September 26th
Business in the morning, then the afternoon is yours. Tonight is the one Mike calls "Versace comes to life." This is your night to go all out.
Morning: Business Meeting (Rhenia Meeting Room)
โ Recommended
- Business casual — polished but not stiff
- Layer up: the ballroom will be air-conditioned and cooler
- Something you can transition to pool or town in afterwards
โ Not Recommended
- Full beach or resort wear for the meeting itself
Evening: Dinner at Mamaloukas — "Versace Comes to Life"
โ Recommended
- Silk dresses — this is the night for them
- Bold, crazy prints and loud colours
- Statement jewellery and accessories
- Heels are doable — you won't be alone in them in Mykonos Town
- Fashionable but comfortable footwear if you plan to explore after
- This is your peacocking moment — dress to be seen
โ Not Recommended
- Stilettos if walking the laneways later — the streets are narrow and uneven
- Playing it safe — the vibe calls for boldness
Day Four
Sunday, September 27th
A day on the water, then a beach party dinner at one of Mykonos's most beloved local tavernas. Think Mamma Mia — the real version.
All Day: Boat & Beach
โ Recommended
- Swimsuit — obviously
- Cover-up for the boat and moving between spots
- Beach bag large enough for the day
- Running shoes or good walking shoes if choosing the Delos boat
- Sunscreen — Royal LePage provides it, but bring your own too
- Wide-brim hat — Delos has very little shade
- Hair tie — it will be windy on the water
- A hairbrush (it'll get messy and you'll thank yourself)
โ Not Recommended
- Flip flops on the Delos boat — rocky, uneven ancient ruins
- White clothing if you want it to stay white
- Leaving your cash at the hotel — not needed for this day!
Evening: Beach Party Dinner at Pili
โ Recommended
- Resort casual — beach party energy, not formal
- Breezy, light fabrics that feel great near the water
- Flat sandals or bare feet — it's a beach setting
- Something you can dance in — there will be dancing
- Mykonos is famous for its linen — pick some up and wear it tonight
โ Not Recommended
- Formal or dressed-up shoes — you'll be on sand & beach
- Anything that restricts movement for dancing
Day Five
Monday, September 28th
A free day to do whatever calls to you — then we close out the trip with a traditional Greek farewell dinner right at the hotel.
All Day: Do As You Please
โ Recommended
- Whatever feels right — pool, town, beach, a nap
- Comfortable walking shoes if heading into Mykonos Town
- Bring your credit card if shopping — the linen and local goods are excellent
โ Not Recommended
- Nothing — the day is yours!
Evening: Farewell Greek Fiesta Dinner
โ Recommended
- Resort festive — something fun and celebratory
- Flat shoes or closed-toe sandals — there will be plate smashing
- Something you can move in freely — dancing is part of the evening
- Colourful, festive clothing to match the energy
โ Not Recommended
- Open-toe shoes or sandals with exposed tops — plate smashing is real
- Your most precious outfit — things can get wonderfully chaotic
Where You're Going
The Venues
A look at each location — so you know exactly what to expect before you arrive.
Rooftop restaurant on the 8th and 9th floors of the Grand Hyatt Athens. Modern, dark, and atmospheric with sweeping views of the Acropolis. Mediterranean and Greek cuisine with a contemporary edge. This is where we kick off the trip on September 24th.
Our home for four nights. A 5-star cliffside resort above Elia Beach — Mykonos's longest sandy beach — with twin saltwater pools hovering over the Aegean. It's about 30 minutes from Mykonos Town, which means it's quieter and more exclusive. The cliff location also means it catches the wind, so factor that into your outfit planning every evening.
Right on the seafront at Agios Ioannis beach with a direct view across to Delos island. A true local favourite — rustic, authentic, and completely ours for the night. Fresh seafood, dancing, and the kind of atmosphere that defines what makes Mykonos special. Think Mamma Mia, but real.
A hidden courtyard restaurant in the heart of Mykonos Town, two steps from Little Venice. Known for its bougainvillea, vine-covered ceilings, and lantern-lit atmosphere. Mediterranean and local Greek cuisine. This is our Saturday night "Versace comes to life" dinner — the most fashion-forward evening of the trip.
Don't Forget
Other Things to Consider
A few items that aren't about the events specifically — but that will make your whole week better.
Sunglasses
Greece in late September is still brilliantly sunny. A good pair is essential for every outdoor moment — tours, boats, pool days, and dinners.
Wide-Brim Hat
The Acropolis tour and the Delos boat both have areas with zero shade. A hat is practical and stylish — win-win.
A Good Tote Bag
For the boat day, the Acropolis, shopping in the Plaka — a roomy, light tote does more work than any other bag this week.
Hair Tie
Mykonos is consistently windy — cliff-side even more so. Even if you never usually use one, tuck a few in your bag. You'll be glad you did.
Credit Card
The shopping in Mykonos is genuinely spectacular — linen, local ceramics, jewellery. Leave room in your suitcase and bring your card.
Water Shoes
Probably optional — the beach days are well-organized — but handy if you're sensitive to rocky beach entry. A small pack to consider.
Day Bag Essentials
On Sept 25, bags go at 6 AM. Keep passport, medications, charger, and anything you need for the day in a separate bag the night before.
Sunscreen
Royal LePage provides it on the boat day — but bring your own for the Acropolis tour and any other outdoor time. SPF 50 minimum.
