Quick Answer

Flowers Team Real Estate marks 25 years in Milton real estate in 2026. Amy Flowers was licensed in 2001 with Royal LePage Meadowtowne Realty, built one of the first real estate teams in the town, and has led the Flowers Team to a #1 ranking in Milton every year since 2009.

  • Amy Flowers was licensed in 2001, when real estate teams did not exist in Milton.
  • The Flowers Team has been ranked #1 in Milton since 2009 on independent audit data.
  • Royal LePage Chairman's Club, Top 1% in Canada since 2009.
  • More than 3,000 Milton families served, with more than 200 helped in 2025 and again in 2026.
  • In-house staging, marketing and client care departments, each led by a specialist.
  • The team marked the milestone with a 25th Anniversary Awards Gala in September 2026.

Last month, we brought the entire Flowers Team and their families together at Glencairn Golf Club for our 25th Anniversary Awards Gala. Standing at the front of that room, looking at the people who have built Flowers Team Real Estate with me, I said something out loud that I am not sure everyone knew.

Real estate is not my passion.

Building a business is. Creating a place where our people and their families can flourish, and being the person who provides that. That is the thing I love. Real estate just happens to be what we do.

That might sound strange from someone whose team has been ranked #1 in Milton since 2009. It is also the most honest way to tell the story of the last 25 years, because every ranking, every award and every family we have helped came out of that one decision: build something bigger than me.

When I was licensed in 2001 and joined Royal LePage Meadowtowne Realty, there were very few real estate teams in Milton. Agents did their own listings, their own marketing, their own paperwork, all of it, themselves. That was simply how the business worked. There was no playbook for building a team, so we made it up as we went.

What I did know, from the very beginning, was that there were parts of this business I was not good at, and parts someone else would simply do better. So instead of pretending to be good at everything, I built a role around each gap. Staging. Marketing. Client care. They were roles that did not exist yet, because teams did not exist yet. Today I watch other teams across the market use those same roles, and I take that as a compliment. I wrote about those early years in more detail in how Milton's first real estate team was built.

Our marketing started small too. In the mid 2000s, we began mailing postcards to 400 homes with my own photo and name on them, at a time when most agents marketed only under their brokerage's name. That farm grew to 10,000 homes. The postcards were never about the content. They were about being seen, consistently, by the families in this town. Twenty-five years later, that is still how we think about our brand.

The People Who Built This With Me

A team's history is really the history of the people who chose to stay. Christine Tenaglia has been with us for 15 years, and shares my number one core value: protection. Tara Llewellyn has been with us for 12, and built a staging department that did not exist anywhere before her. Jenn Laliberte, 11 years. Trish Dorak, Alisha Zoethout and Tania Moore, 10 years each. Trish is the only one of us who saw the team from the outside first, because before she was one of us, she was a client.

These are not people who passed through. They are people who built their careers and raised their families alongside this team, and every family we have helped has felt their work, whether they knew their names or not.

"Of Course I Am. It's for You."

One of the people at that gala has been part of this story longer than anyone. My mom, Jane Ann, works alongside me on the Flowers Team. Everything I am, I am because of her.

When COVID shut the world down, there was a time at the beginning when everybody was scared. The world had literally stopped. But we still had clients. One family in particular was going through real, life-changing tragedies, and that was the week their house had to go on the market. There was no other option.

So it was the two of us. In the warehouse choosing the furniture, driving it over, assembling the staging, doing every part of a launch that normally takes a whole team. Just my mom and me, in an empty world, getting a family's home to market because they needed us to.

Standing in that warehouse, I said something about how the whole world was shut down, and yet here she was. She said, "Of course I am. It's for you." She probably does not remember saying it. I will never forget it.

What 25 Years Taught Me About Protecting Milton Families

If you ask me what sits at the core of Flowers Team Real Estate, the answer is protection. Selling a home is one of the most important and stressful times in a person's life, and it involves one of the largest assets they will ever own. In that moment, being protected is the number one thing. When a client tells us they felt taken care of, that feeling of "I got you," we know we did our job. It is the theme that shows up most in our more than 400 five-star Google reviews.

Protection is also why, about a decade ago, I stopped introducing myself as an agent and started introducing myself as a team leader. One agent is limited by one person's hours and one person's strengths. A team built around specialists can protect every part of a move at once. Once I could train people to do specific parts of this job better than I could, stepping back from my own listings became the most protective thing I could do for our clients. I explain that switch in why the best realtor in Milton never cared about houses.

It is also how we hire. We look for the right personality for the role, and then for dedication and heart, because those two cannot be trained. That standard is how we became an all-women team, and it was never by design. That story is in how the Flowers Team became an all-women team by accident.

Inside Our 25th Anniversary Awards Gala

Flowers Team Real Estate 25 year anniversary gala October 2026 group photobooth

The gala was not about numbers. It was about the people in that room. Between courses, we walked back through the last five years together, one year at a time: the pandemic rush of 2021, the day in February 2022 when we saw the market turn before anyone else did, the hard years of high rates, and the recovery that followed. We handed out the first Flowers Team Awards, honouring the top producers, listing specialists and buyer specialists for every year from 2021 to 2025. And I got to say thank you, by name, to every person on this team.

We also thanked the people who are not on this team and carry it anyway: the families at home. The late nights, the missed dinners, the phones on the table when it should have been quality time. My son, Jason, has shared me with this team his whole life, with more patience and more grace than I ever had a right to ask for. None of this happens without the people who make room for it at home.

Then I asked everyone to come up for one photo, and raised a glass to the more than 3,000 Milton families who have trusted us with their homes.

What Comes Next for Flowers Team Real Estate

Over 25 years, the same pattern has repeated three times. We built a team when teams did not exist in Milton. We built in-house staging when almost no one in town offered staging at all. And today we are doing it again with marketing and AI, while most of the industry waits to see what happens. The next chapter is about growth, about streamlining, and about doing what we already do, even better.

Most of all, the next 25 years will look like the first 25 in the way that matters: a team that plans for the worst case first, so the families we serve never have to.

Thank You, Milton

If you are one of the more than 3,000 families who have bought or sold with us, thank you. You are the reason we are #1 in Milton, and the reason this team exists. If you are thinking about your next move, we would be honoured to be part of it. Book a free home evaluation or call us at 905-878-6232.
