Plan your spot along the parade route

The procession begins at Main Street West and Whitmer Street, travels east along Main Street and finishes at the Milton GO Station entrance. Our stop at 475 Main Street East sits along the route.

The 1:30 p.m. start time applies to the beginning of the route. Floats will reach your viewing spot later. Give your family time to settle in, zip up coats and choose a spot where children have a clear view.

View the official parade route and map. Check the organizer’s website before leaving for event updates.

Popcorn, crayons and a big wave for Santa

Waiting for Santa takes patience. We’ll have popcorn to hand out and “Santa Please Stop Here” signs ready to colour at our station at the Meadowtowne Royal LePage office (475 Main St. E. Milton, Ontario). Join us there to decorate your sign, or download the colouring page and finish yours at home before parade day.

Choose your colours, decorate the petals and give your sign some personality. Red and green? Rainbow petals? Your child gets to decide. We’re looking forward to seeing the different designs along Main Street.

Stop by, say hello and enjoy a few minutes together before the parade begins!

Who will spot a Santa hat first? What about a candy cane, a decorated float or someone waving?

Our printable scavenger hunt gives your family 16 things to find during the parade. Print one for each child or work together on one sheet. Find all 16 items to win!

  1. Look for the objects, colours and decorations on your card.
  2. Tick the circle for each item you spot.
  3. Find all 16 items to win!

Help younger children read each clue and search together. Look for matches on floats, costumes, decorations and among the spectators around you. Keep searching until you’ve ticked every item. Play from your viewing spot and stay with your grown-up.

Download your letter to Santa

What would your child like to tell Santa this year? Download our letter template and spend a little time together filling in their wishes and messages before parade day.

Bring your completed letter to the Milton Santa Claus Parade. Watch for the Canada Post “elves” along the route, who will collect letters to deliver to Santa.

Address your envelope to:

Santa Claus

North Pole

H0H 0H0

Canada

Remember to include your return address on the letter and envelope so Santa knows where to send his reply.

Colour your Santa sign with us or ahead of time

Our colouring station will have flower-shaped “Santa Please Stop Here” signs for children to decorate. If your family prefers to colour ahead of time, download the same colouring page below.

For colouring at home, print the design on white cardstock for a sturdier sign. Let your child colour the letters and decorate the petals. Ask a grown-up to cut around the flower, then tape a large craft stick to the back.

Bring your finished flower to the parade and give Santa a wave when he passes. Keep signs at a comfortable height so neighbours behind you still have a view

A little preparation for a happier parade afternoon

Pack warm layers, mittens, water, crayons and a clipboard or firm backing for your scavenger hunt sheet. Check the forecast before leaving. Agree on a meeting spot with your family and keep pathways clear for other spectators.

Don’t forget, there will be “Stuffing a Bus” with non-perishable donations for the Salvation Army Food Bank, so please make sure you have your non-perishable donations ready as the bus goes by!

Bring your letters addressed to “Santa Claus, North Pole, HOH OHO Canada”. Our wonderful Canada Post “elves” will be in the parade collecting your letters to deliver to Santa.

See you on Main Street!

We love having a reason to catch up with familiar faces and welcome families who are new to town. We hope your family will join us for popcorn, colouring and a wave for Santa.

Download your activities, share this guide with your parade crew and stop by Flowers Team Real Estate at 475 Main Street East.
